NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft 2012: all 3 Canucks players are picked to represent Team Alfredsson in this year’s All-Star Game on Sunday. The Sedins are reunited in the ASG once again, after being separated last year. This is Edler’s first year to the game, and luckily he’ll be with his Swedish teammates.

Maxim Lapierre on his role as an aggravator in the game:

There’s a point in your career where you realize everybody in the NHL is a good player and there are so many guys that want your spot, and that you gotta do something special or different that nobody else does. This is what I decided to do when I came into the league: I had be physical, talk to players, and be a disturber. This is how I made my name in the beginning, and after, you have to show that you’ve got the skills to play hockey.

I enjoy that role [of being a disturber]. Especially on this team, we have so many skills, and so many good players. I like to bring that special ingredient to the table, and obviously this is what I have to do; but, I can do other things too, and try to focus on everything.
