The Sedins are reunited in the ASG once again, after being separated last year. This is Edler’s first year to the game, and luckily he’ll be with his Swedish teammates.

Round 9 - #22 Daniel Sedin
Round 13 - #33 Henrik Sedin
Round 15 - #23 Alex Edler

Forever a Canuck - Trevor Linden on the Sedin Twins:

Who else would you want, who do you want? These two guys, they’re never hurt, they’re solid, they’re leaders. They play in both ends of the rink, they’re not cheating. You see a lot of ‘stars’ in the game who won’t play in their own end. What other two guys would you want? They’re great in the community, they care about where they play. They only gave a million and a half to the Children’s Hospital. The thing that bothers me is that sometimes, this market takes them for granted.

Daniel and Henrik Sedin were drafted 2nd and 3rd overall in the first round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, by the Vancouver Canucks.

I remember expecting to play on different teams, actually. All the talk before the draft was that there was no way we would be able to play together, so we were ready to be apart. Then, five minutes before the draft, Thomas Gradin, the European scout for the Canucks, came up to us and told us that they were going to draft us both, so that was pretty exciting. ― Daniel Sedin
